Free Shipping on Orders of $70 or More

Under these amounts, shipping costs is $5.95 in Canada, and $9.95 in the continental USA
Free shipping is automatically calculated during your checkout.
Free shipping does not apply to international orders; international shipping is charged at the actual rate.
Gift cards and taxes do not count toward order total for free shipping eligibility.
Orders must meet Canada Post's size and weight requirements (no dimension greater than 1 metre, weight less than 30kgs) so oversize items will not usually qualify for free shipping.
Hazardous goods shipments are not eligible for free shipping.

Shipping within Canada

Orders are sent via Expedited Parcel Post unless otherwise specified. Orders are insured in case of damage or loss. Applicable provincial and federal taxes are applied when your order is processed according to where the item will be shipped. Most orders are shipped from Toronto, ON and take one business day to process, in addition to the delivery times shown. Isolated and rural areas may take longer.

Orders are usually shipped on same day they are received. If you order before 2:00pm EST your order will usually leave the same day. In Canada delivery time is 1-3 business days in Ontario and Quebec, and 2-5 business days in the West and the East. Canadian orders are shipped by Canada Post Expedited Parcel.

*Please note that orders shipped to the Yukon, NorthWest Territories is $15.99 and Nunavut is may carry an additional shipping charge. Shipping costs is automatically calculated during your checkout.

Taxes

If an order is shipped to the following provinces or territories, MEC must collect the applicable taxes as described:

Ontario (ON) – 13% HST on merchandise and freight
British Columbia (BC) – 12% HST on merchandise and freight
Alberta (AB) – 5% GST on merchandise and freight
Saskatchewan (SK) – 5% GST on merchandise and freight
Manitoba (MB) – 7% PST on merchandise plus 5% GST on merchandise and freight
Quebec (QC) – 7.5% PST on the total of the merchandise and freight plus 5% GST on merchandise and freight
New Brunswick (NB) – 13% HST on merchandise and freight
Nova Scotia (NS) – 15% HST on merchandise and freight
Prince Edward Island (PE) – 5% GST on merchandise and freight
Newfoundland (NL) – 13% HST on merchandise and freight
Northwest Territories (NT) – 5% GST on merchandise and freight
Yukon (YT) – 5% GST on merchandise and freight
Nunavut (NU) – 5% GST on merchandise and freight

*Canadian taxes are not collected on orders shipped outside of Canada. However, orders shipped outside of Canada are subject to import duties, taxes, and customs processing fees, which are levied once the package reaches its destination. Shipping to the USA

Orders sent to the USA are shipped by Xpresspost. Orders shipped to the USA are not charged Canadian taxes; however, all orders pass through customs and are subject to import duties,taxes, and custom processing fees. A customs invoice will arrive with your parcel or may follow in the mail. Recipients are responsible for paying these additional fees.

MEC is unable to provide estimates for customs fees. Check with your local customs office for more information.

In the US delivery time is 7-12 business days. US orders are shipped by insured airmail or surface. Tracking does not apply to these shipping methods.

International Shipping

Orders going to international destinations are shipped by air mail. Orders shipped outside of Canada are not charged Canadian taxes; however, all orders pass through customs and are subject to import duties, taxes, and custom processing fees. A customs invoice will arrive with your parcel or may follow in the mail. Recipients are responsible for paying these additional fees.

Many international destinations are now receiving improved airmail service via Canada Post Xpresspost International. For countries and delivery times visit the Canada Post website.
